We Went On A Last Minute Tour Inside Mammoth Cave

CajunMile are on their way to some western states, but have some time to kill and needed a place to go. We put a poll up, but ultimately had to make a decision based on where we could find a site to stay. This week we spent our time at Dog Creek Campground at Nolan River Lake. From here, we had a 30 minute drive to Mammoth Cave National Park where we hiked and toured the caves. Dog Creek Campground offers the amenities that most campgrounds have, plus a small vegetable market and a boat ramp (if you happen to have a boat). This is the first time we have been very disappointed that we didn't have Kayaks to get on the River. (We hope to rectify that when we stop at the Overland Expo Mountain West in August). Mammoth Cave National Park was great, but plan ahead because the tours sell out early. Stick around as we head to Little Rock, Arkansas and up through Oklahoma.
