Eureka State Recreation Area for Your Next Kentucky Adventure

We're heading south with the goal being to be in Dadeville Alabama in early October in order to have service done on our Airstream. This week we stayed in Kentucky at the Eureka State Recreation Area near the land between lakes. Eureka Campground sits on Lake Barkley among wooded rolling hills and abundant wildlife. Fishing is a well-loved sport here; Kentucky's largest yellow bass was caught in these waters, and anglers flock with hopes of breaking the record. The site is part of the Core of Engineers locations, which, for us, typically means it is a great place to stay. Our goal this week was to stay put for a few days in order to get work done, but that didn't stop us from having amazing mornings watching the sun rise or spectacular evenings watching the sun set or watching the moon and stars over the lake. We'll take you on a walk around the area, including a look at the campground, the day use areas, and the boat ramp. This video also gives you a peak into how are dogs get exercise while we are on the road. Olive (our 7 year old GSP) and Bosley (our 2 year old OES) love to get off the leash for some run around time. Thanks for watching and we hope that you will consider subscribing if you enjoy our content. A few of our October videos will have a spooky vibe, from our stay in Illinois near a Cemetery and Penetentiary to our stay in Northern Alabama, where the playground just gave us Friday the 13th vibes.
