We came to Orlando in May 2024 and again in October. The last 2 times we tried to get on Rise of the Resistance in Galaxy's Edge, the ride went down and after talking to a former cast member found out that it really isn't worth waiting because the ride reset time is an hour or so. Because of that we choose to ditch the line if the ride goes down, which means we didn't get to ride. Our goal for today was to ride Rise and just have some fun seeing the holiday decorations. After getting on Rise, and Toy Story Mania (both classics for us at Hollywood Studios), we had lunch and saw some decorations around the park. Most of Rise of the Resistance is changed because 5 of the effects are no longer functioning, one of which is the cannons as you escape no longer working and as I understand it, will not be coming back.
