During our Disney trip this holiday season, we visited Animal Kingdom. We had a nice surprise and got to meet the Merry Menagerie. These life-size animal puppets are themed for winter and come out to perform and interact with guests on Discovery Island. You can find them in front of the Tree of Life, typically right around the area between Island Mercantile and Discovery Trading Company. We met many of the animal puppets and their puppeteers were very entertaining.

We took the Wildlife Express Train to Rafiki's Planet Watch. While there, we visited the Conservation station where we saw a Veterinarian performing an eye exam on a poison dart frog. Next, we walked over to the Affection Section where we got to pet some pretty fun animals at the outdoor petting zoo. We also got to ride some rides including Dinosaur, Avatar Flight of Passage and ate lunch in Pandora. We saw A Bug's Life, walked though Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail, and saw several characters including Daisy.

Although we ran out of time the day we were there, the next evening we returned to watch Awakening the Tree of Life holiday edition. We had a fantastic time! Have you been to Animal Kingdom during the holidays? What did you like most at Animal Kingdom during the holiday season?
