Emily and Nick have been on the road for over 8 weeks now. After Georgia and a quick stop off at Sugar Tit Distillery in South Carolina, we spent a week in Marion, North Carolina. Tom Johnson RV Park is well situated to explore the Blue Ridge Parkway, Crabtree Falls, Linville Falls, as well as Little Switzerland and the town of Marion. We had time to do this and highly recommend heading to Crabtree Falls and driving a little on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The park offers plenty of bathrooms and clean showers as well as plenty of basic amenities; paved back in spaces, paved patios, a pavilion for the rally sites, a basketball court, volleyball court and playground. Sadly there was no dog park at this park and trash was a little bit of a challenge to deal with (minus the valet trash during the week). All in all, we recommend staying here for your time in the Eastern North Carolina area.
