Nebraska: The State You Didn't Know You Wanted to Visit
We recently spent a few days in Nebraska at Pawnee Lake State Recreation Area. During our visit we did a walk around of the park as well as visited the Homestead National Historical Site nearby.
On this trip we drove 900 miles in 2 days, staying at a Harvest Host in Cheyenne Wyoming. Witts End Cattle Depot is probably one of our favorites for the large amount of space we had available as well as the great farmstand, where we bought some bratwurst and ice cream. We also dealt with a stupid mistake at Pawnee Lake. We didn't fill up water on the way in and had to drag 7 gallons at a time between a spigot and our trailer, using a funnel to fill the tank. Lesson learned (I hope).
