Installing AirKrafters erPODs

We have been in Central Florida for 5 weeks and found out fast that in the heat of the day, a tin can in the sun, doesn't like to cool off. We have been looking for solutions to get better airflow inside the camper. We use our awnings to block the sun from coming through the windows, but still needed some help circulating air inside the Airstream trailer. The addition of this RV AC upgrade, the Airkrafters erPOD is a welcome change to how much air is moving in our Airstream Flying Cloud. We were hesitant to purchase due to the price, and considered a cheaper alternative found on Amazon. After watching a few videos and seeing pictures of those installed, we thought the AirKrafters had a much more finished look. But were they worth the price tag?

We called AirKrafters and spoke to one reps, Justin. We told him we were considering purchasing 4 erPODs for our 27’ Airstream Flying Cloud. We have 2 a/c units on our Airstream, and wanted to purchase 4 erPODs. Two would be installed in the bedroom and two to be installed in the kitchen galley area. While we believed this would help with air flow, we didn’t want to jump in and replace all vent covers without knowing how much it would help to better circulate the air in the camper.

The install, while not simple, was straight forward and we were able to complete it with just a drill and an 1/8" drill bit for tools. We are now finding that air moves to where we are working and it makes it so the AC isn't always running to keep the living area cool. We installed four erPODs, but Justin at Airkrafters said that just one in each zone would make a significant difference. After living with the new erPODS for the. last two weeks, we are pretty certain we will purchase four more erPODS to replace all of the vents in the living area for aesthetic.
